Council introduces charging points for electric vehicles
Environmentally conscious Rochford District Council is delighted to introduce nine electric vehicle charging points, which are to be installed from Monday 15 July, at various car parks throughout the district.
The council, which is dedicated to enabling people to convert to zero emission vehicles to help reduce transport-related emissions and to promote more sustainable forms of transport, has committed to installing these charging points which can contribute significantly to improving air quality by stimulating the uptake of electric vehicles.
We are delivering the points in conjunction with our partners Basildon BC and Swarco UK. Swarco eVolt is one of the UK’s leading innovators in commercial & domestic electric vehicle charging solutions with significant experience in projects of this sort.
All charge points will have a dedicated bay that can only be used by electric vehicles that are plugged into the charge point.
The rollout will commence in the following locations:
The Approach Car Park, Rayleigh 2 x Fast chargers
