Working with construction companies and partners, SECTA aim to respond to the needs of the industry to address skills and labour shortages. The project has been awarded £970k to support 650 clients by the 31st March 2020.

Through three hubs, based in Rochford/Southend, Basildon and Thurrock, individualised training and support for people interested in the construction industry is provided. Training includes CSCS cards, basic trade courses, and specialist courses, e.g. asbestos awareness, working at heights, demolition, etc.

SECTA have over 100 work ready clients looking for jobs in the industry. Job roles can be advertised for free and SECTA will headhunt potential employees for you. Alternatively, you can attend one of the monthly ‘Meet the Employer’ events to speak with a large number of work ready clients. You may also like to offer site visits to showcase the environment and roles you have to a selected client audience.

What SECTA can offer construction companies?
Employment ready ‘new to construction’ recruits
Employment ready employees with construction experience
Ability to influence the training delivered – now and in future
Assistance with Corporate Social Responsibility/Social Value targets
Assistance with inclusivity targets (e.g. women, apprentices, etc.)
